Join DJ Klyph, O.G.ONE, and DJ Ambush as VST brings its signature all-vinyl experience beyond the record store, digging deep into Hip Hop, soul, funk, R&B, boogie, breaks, and timeless grooves.

Whether you’ve followed the Vinyl Store Tour from the beginning or you’re discovering it for the first time, expect great music, great people, and an atmosphere built around the culture. No laptops. No sync buttons. Just records, turntables, and three DJs sharing selections from the crates.

The No Requests Verzuz Series returns as we celebrate two legendary producers who helped shape the sound of Hip Hop from opposite coasts.

This month, DJ Ambush and DJ Klyph go head-to-head with a deep dive into the catalogs of Alchemist and DJ Quik. From underground classics and iconic collaborations to timeless album cuts and undeniable bangers, we'll explore the music, influence, and legacy of two of the culture's most respected architects.

From Mobb Deep, Dilated Peoples, Freddie Gibbs, and Griselda to Suga Free, DJ Quik, 2nd II None, and beyond, expect a night packed with the records that helped define generations of Hip Hop.

As always, expect four decks, two DJs, and no requests.

A Beat Happening: Summer Frequencies Showcase — 9 Year Anniversary

Rooted in accessibility, collaboration, and community care, @abeathappening has spent nearly a decade building a free platform for emerging and established artists to connect, share, and grow. This showcase brings multiple Portland hip hop, dance, and electronic music collectives + event curators + taste makers together on one lineup, highlighting the depth and energy of the city’s independent music scene.

Hosted at @atelier_yaffe, a Black-owned gallery, cafe and event space owned and operated by @ivan_fochive and the home of ABH since 2023, we’re continuing our mission by creating an inclusive celebration that centers BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists and communities, while staying open to all and fully accessible. Alongside performances, tap in with community partners and local creatives for resources, networking, and connections beyond the music!
